Gemma Hall is a rising third year student pursuing a 5-year combined degree program at Tufts University and SMFA. She is majoring in Studio Art and Psychology with a minor in Urban Studies. Her background knowledge is from taking art classes throughout her life. More notably she attended a summer progam at the Oxbow School in Napa Valley, CA, Summer Portfolio class at Cooper Union and being an art major at Grace Church High School.
She is an interdisciplinary artist, who enjoys creating meaningful artwork that engages viewers to rethink and question their assumptions and preconceived notions. She has previously drawn inspiration from James Turrell and admires his work and using light as a medium. She hopes to continue exploring and finding meaning in art.
